Thankful

Well with Thanksgiving right around the corner (tomorrow) I thought it is time to wright about all the things I am thankful for.....
First off I am thankful to be living. (always a good one)
I am Thankful for friends (not sure how i have managed to not piss them all off)
I am Thankful for family (well only at Thanksgiving really, any other time they usually get on my nerves pretty bad)
I am Thankful to have a job (although you can draw unemployment for 90 weeks - no wonder the government is in debt)
I am Thankful to have a house ( just wish someone would come clean it for me)
I am Thankful for Kyle (except when he throws his clothes on the floor because he doesnt want to hang them up and get wrinkled... hmmmmm wise one he is)
I am Thankful for my dog Debbie (although I wish she was thankful for the hundreds of dollars spent on toys and fun clothes , instead she runs away and hides or destroys them)
I am Thankful for this blogging thing, I get to stalk people :)

(hope this makes someone laugh, that is the point)

Christmas Trees :)

I have expressed my love for the Holidays plenty of times already.. well I also have a love for anything crafty, now I am not a good crafter, but I like to "do things myself".... So this year i re-did my tree... last year it was Red and Gold and all this shiny.. this year i went with a theme that matched my house more and did gold, bronze and a powder blue... weird I know and no not very Christmasy... but I think it turned out ok :) I also did a red and white tree for our upstairs "man cave"... now I need more white ornaments on it, but it was kinda a last minute project :) Let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions I would love to hear them all :) HAPPY HOLIDAYS

My Favorite Time of Year!

WOOO Freaking WHOOO!! It is by far my favorite time of year! I love the leaves changing, having to wear sweaters and fuzzy socks, drinking hot chocolate, Christmas lights, and Carmel Brulee from Starbucks! Kyle calls me Kamalouwhoo.... yes yes I reek of Christmas spirit and I love it! Thanksgiving is like the teaser for Christmas, I mean dont get me wrong I enjoy Thanksgiving (mostly for the food) but there is something about the Christmas season that just makes me a happy camper :) I have already put 2 Christmas trees up, now before you fall over, I have not turned them on yet.. Kyle wont let me... But they are up and prepared for next week :) This year I went a little non-traditional with my downstairs tree... I had this thought of a gold, bronze and powder blue... well i went a little crazy -- It is almost a little too mismatched, and not really Christmasy, but thats ok I think I will keep it up this year and maybe go more traditional next year. Now the upstairs tree is very traditional (mostly because I already had most of the stuff) I got new candy cane stripped netting and white ornaments. It actually looks pretty good... This week I will try to take pictures and post them, speaking of pictures I am on the hunt for a new camera! So leave me a comment if you have a camera you swear by :)

Happy Holidays :)

Halloween

We had an amazing 1st Halloween handing out candy. Kyle and I originally got dressed up and then we realized that we were the only people in the neighborhood dressed up.. :( so we took our costumes off and prepared for the madness with a glass of wine. (ended up being almost 2 bottles)... Not to disappoint though we did let Lil Debbie wear her costume for a whole 4 1/2 minutes. I think she hates being dressed up :(

So we ended up having probably 150 kids maybe more come by, which was PLENTY! We had the great idea to put in black lights in our outside lights! Well "great" was quickly replaced with "horrible" when we realized that the lights weren't lighting up very well and we were afraid that people would think our porch light was off and not come see us! PANIC! I ran through the house turning on every light (and when i say ran i literally ran). We have plantation blinds in our home so I immediately opened them and the light shined on! (sweet silence)... well that wasn't good enough for Kyle he thought that people would still think we weren't home! Now how many of you would think we weren't home if you saw the following:

Entryway light through the door
Pumpkins lit up on the porch
More pumpkins with changing lights on the walkway
4 different windows open with all the lights on
2 crazy people with their wine glasses walking out to the street, turning around and giving the thumbs up!

I mean really?? So what do I do as a good wife? You guessed it, ran to the garage, as Kyle is yelling "ALL CLEAR HURRY HURRY", grabbed the HUGE ladder, set it up on our porch, climbed to the tip top of the ladder and grabbed the black bulb.... now those of us who "lived" for black lights and glow in the dark stars on our ceilings have probably just realized the crucial mistake I made! Black lights get so much hotter than regular light bulbs, although a regular light bulb would have probably burnt my skin as well... yes I now have 3 fingers with that dry cracked feeling on the tips, like i have dipped my finger tips in super glue! Oh but that isn't the end of it because me being in full on "panic" mode I had already started unscrewing the bulb when I realized it was quickly dissolving my fingertips... I yell for Kyle to grab me a towel - yes a TOWEL - Oh no not my lover bear, he comes back with 1 I repeat ONE paper towel. So I grab the paper towel and advise him in a calm voice that my fingers are on fire and one paper towel is a joke. So while I am standing on this huge ladder, fingertips slowing burning off, we get tricker treaters.... Kyle, oh so big hearted Kyle, decided that giving the cute kidos candy instead of getting his loving wife a towel... UGH! So after removing the black lights and putting back in our normal lights we preceded to get lots of trick or treaters and it ended up being a great time. I also am getting feeling back in my fingers, which is kinda nice :) I hope everyone had a great Halloween. I will leave you now with a picture of our little Bus, see Kyle and I were suppose to dress up as hippies and Debbie was our "magic" bus. Well you can tell she just hated her costume...

Update on the Johnsons

So I just realized I haven't blogged oh in about 5 years! (exaggeration) Kyle and I have been so busy these past few months, I mean it seems like 3 days and it has been seriously 2 months. Kyle had back surgery again 3 weeks ago tomorrow - UGH - he has been staying at home and not going to work, which for him I guess is great... for me however I get home from 8 - 9 hours of work and I am tired..... oh not kyle is has been home all day and is ready to hang out. HAHA needless to say I have actually been a good wife and I have ventured into cooking quit a bit these past few weeks. For the most part I feel as though I have been successful, although you wont see me on any cooking show :). Kyle is doing much better and is planning on going back to work tomorrow! Other than that we have just been hanging out...

I am super excited about Halloween this year, normally we would get dressed up and go out with our friends or to a Halloweens Party... but this year because of Kyle's back surgery we have decided to stay home and dress up and hand out candy. I think we are in a good neighborhood (longhills) to get an enormous about of little trick or treaters! I cant wait to see all the fun and super cute costumes. So if you are in the area come by the Johnson house and show us your costumes!!

Have a great Monday!

Baby Anna

I don't get to see sweet Baby Anna as much as I would like (which is every minute of every day) but when I do get the chance to go to Michelle and Jeffrey's house I can't get enough of her!! I thought I would upload a picture of this past weekend when Baby Anna slept on me for over an hour :) She seriously is the sweetest thing on the face of the earth and I wish I could put her in my pocket and take her home -- well until she pooped then I would have to return her! Please ignore me and my 3 chins in this picture :)

Summer comes to an END !

I have been a really bad blogger, but my goodness we have been uber busy! Lets see we went to Mexico in the beginning of August for Carrie's wedding - It was absolutely amazing!! I will have to upload some pictures! We went on a "party boat" to Isla Grande and rented a golf cart and drove all around the island and shopped - so much fun! Other than that Kyle and I spent most of our time just being lazy and enjoying our private plunge pool that was off our room!! We stayed at La Amada and it was beautiful!! We have been so busy with Kelsey and Clark's wedding coming up in September :) Other than that our house and work has kept us both on the go!

One good thing about summer coming to an end is FOOTBALL!!! Kyle and I love to watch football (well more Kyle than me) This year we wont get to go to Fayetteville as much as we would like but we are going to Dallas to watch the Hogs play Texas A&M again this year -- last year was toooo much fun so we had to go back! Also Kyle is playing in 2 fantasy football leagues this year which actually gets me into the game because I can actually cheer for certain teams in the NFL! I am so ready for football season, cooler weather and lots of grilling!!

My next blog I am going to get pictures up so be looking for them.... Enjoy the rest of the week!

First day without shots!

Good Morning! Yesterday was my first day to still be on the diet but not take the HCG shot.... umm well I cheated a little bit (story of my life) but for the most part i was good :) It really wasnt that bad, i wasnt as hungry as i thought i would be! Now where i cheated at .... I have discovered the most AMAZING french onion dip EVER!!! Fresh Market has this french onion dip that is spicy and just unreal -- dip a pita chips and it is HEAVEN! I am running again now and still trying to loose a few inches in my thighs... For the most part i am very pleased with the results, as I wasnt expecting to loose a ton of weight!

Have a good Thursday!

Day 19 and 20

HOLY COW!! One more day of shots after today and I will be done!! Then I have to only have 500 calories and no shots for 3 days -- perfect timing for the 4th! So I have still petered out at 121... I am doing extra exercising to help shed a few more before the weekend~So hopefully I will loose a few more inches this week and I am going to be sooooo strict on myself and do perfect! I really recommend this diet if you and only if you have extreme will-power! I think if i had started out with a higher weight I would have def. lost more than what I did -- although it was easy to loose 7 lbs! Which I havent been able to do on exercise alone! So here is the bottom line if you need to drop say 20lbs or more I think this diet is great! I didnt have any side-effects and felt fine through the whole process -- If anything I had more energy than normal..... You have to be dedicated it is sooo hard to do. I am thankful I did it because I have trained my body to stop eating when I get full - where as normally I would continue because it just tasted that good -- I have also learned that food is just food and to not look at it in any other way! I have not used oil or non-organic seasoning and I am actually ok ! Shocking I know right?? I have learned to LOVE strawberry chicken spinach salad with NO dressing -- It really isnt that bad and I feel so much better when I eat that over Firehouse! I have learned that it is all about being healthy and not just my bikini body :) I have noticed that when I get home from work I dont sit on the couch in pure exhaustion I am none stop!! I have noticed that I enjoy 6:00 am runs- very soothing!!
So if you are at all interested in learning more information just email me -- I dont sell this stuff but I think if you are serious you should do it -- it really does re-train your body and mind! I hope everyone had a great weekend and I will do a full evaluation Friday on here and the totally start and finishing weights -- and I may put pictures up -- not sure but I might :)

Have a good Monday

Day 17 & 18!!

I was so busy yesterday I didnt have time to blog! What?? Crazy I know -- Well still nothing fun to talk about I guess I am not loosing any more pounds which I am ok with but I kinda thought that I would loose a few more inches :( I still have the weekend and then Monday and Tuesday with the shots and Wednesday - Friday you have to maintain the 500 calorie diet without the shots!! So hopefully I will loose just a few more inches... and I am itching to get back in the gym so I think tonight I will start slow by going and doing a little cardio and some weights-- I just feel so much better after going!! Well due to one of Kyle's family members passing (kinda expectantly) yesterday we will not be painting our kitchen this weekend --Although I think I found a color I love even more!! I will be sure to take before pictures this weekend... man I need a new camera ...hmmmm.... anyways I hope everyone has a great weekend and I am off to read some blogs!!

Day 16

Well I have absolutely no cravings now like I did the first week! I am actually enjoying eating good all the time! I am down a few more oz but still just lingering around 121 -- I went jogging last night and to my surprise I was not crashed by the time I got back. I really hope to loose a few more inches in my waist, hips and thighs!! But I am noticing my clothes fitting better! We go to Mexico in 6 weeks and I am super pumped! Also Saturday I am painting my kitchen! I will put before pictures up and after-- I am really excited since our entire house is the same brown! ha -- I think I am going with the color Willow Tree from Sherwin Williams, it is a very subtle cottage blue/green and I think it will look great in our kitchen and breakfast area!! Have you ever painted your kitchen?? If so tips would be very much appreciated!

Day 15

Well not much is new - I dont know if I am at a plateau or just not doing good enough but my weight has seemed to kinda settle in at 122 -- so I know the program says to not work out but I am headed to the gym tonight just for a little bit of cardio and weights! Other than that nothing has really changed :) I had to take a little exlax this morning to help (maybe that is why i have plateaued) hmmm ..... Anyways hopefully I can drop just a few more lbs and inches by the end of the week! Next Tuesday is my last day - so just 1 week left! And it is just in time for the 4th! Wooo Whooo hopefully my bikini body will be in perfect condition! Here is a little inspiration for the day... I have to quit finding uber expensive swimsuits I need!! gosh This one is too freaking cute I just love it!! It is by Ondade Mar which has tons of cute swimmies and this one isnt that expensive it is $79 for the top and $79 for the bottom so only $158 --- umm not too bad right? ?

Days 12, 13 and 14

Good Morning! Well I did better this weekend than the first, but still not good! I dont know what it is about the weekend! Saturday I was fine I painted one of our guest bedrooms, went to the studio for most of the day and then went to chillis where I just had a grilled chicken salad no dressing..... Sunday Kyle and I went to church ate some grilled chicken and apples and then headed down to the lake -- where I thought I was going to do fine until I realized I was on beer number 7! HOLY COW ( I was just going to have 1) -- oh well we had a great time.. I weighed this morning at 122.8 so I am up just over a pound, but I think that has to do with feminine issues as well if you ladies catch my drift :) I know I always seem to gain weight that week -- anyways I have 2 drs. apts this week, one next and then one in July. I am looking into breast augmentation, so if you have any stories good or bad please either leave a comment or email me! I will let you know that I am going to see the following doctors, based on friends and family experiences. Dr. Talbert, Dr. Anderson, Dr. Branman and Dr. Sloan.

Again I would love any and all comments about these doctors or if you want to suggest anyone!

Thanks for all your help!!

Day 11 and New Dance Studio

so I am on the downhill side now of the diet -- woo whoo and it is getting so much easier now -- I can hardly finish my salad at lunch time! I lost another .8 oz this morning and I am only 6lbs away from my goal! -- I have done a few updates of the ole blog added some tunes and a little slideshow - yes I realize I only have 5 pictures I do plan on adding more, just short on time this morning...

So now on to exciting news I will be joining the staff of RCDC! Rock City Dance Center is a new dance studio opening this Saturday in Trellis Square (where Joel's used to be)--- I am soooo excited to be a part of this staff - The owner Kristen S. is an absolutely amazing dancer, choreographer and woman! I know I am going to love working for her!! Also my old roommate Kristen L. will be working there :) So go check out the website and if you are interested at all the Grand Opening will be tomorrow from 3 - 5 at the studio or feel free to email me with any questions! Hope to see some blog faces there!

Day 10

I am officially down 6 lbs from the day I started... and is before the actual diet so I actually ended up gaining 1 lb the first two "eat all you can" days and then my mess up weekend .....
I now weigh 121.8 !! i know right! and I feel just great! My clothes are fitting so much better I dont have "skinny" jeans right now- I am still a size 4 and this whole time I have been a size 4, just now I dont have to suck in to get them to button or go around my house doing lunges to stretch the thighs out-- I did a super quick measurement this morning just on my waist and bust line and I am down another 1/2 " in my waist and down another 1" in my bust --- HOLLA! Last night we somewhat kinda sorta cheated but not really --see my idea of "cheating" is finishing off a container of cookie dough ice cream :) haha Instead of the meat recommended we tried this low fat turkey burger from Fresh Market --- Kyle and I split it and had 3 shrimp a piece -- YES another thing I have learned to like.. I HATE seafood and I have tried shrimp before and spit it out, well this from Fresh Market was so good.... and we only seasoned it with the organic mix seasoning (that is amazing) it is called Simply Organic and I got it at K-Rogers! It is like a pepper, garlic, salty mix... really really good if you love cavendersAlso Kyle didnt but I used this butter - yes butter -- it has absolutely NOTHING in it -- no calories, no fat, no sugar, no sodium NOTHING!! I love it! I use it on my steamed broccoli and the shrimp, again purchased at K-Rogers called BestLife spray butter

So once I get down to 120 I will post pictures of before and were I am at right now.... Remember I still have 11 days to go :) But I think I am past the hardest part !!

Day 9

So it is day 9 -- wooo! Yesterday was by far the best/easiest day -- I didnt get that "starving" feeling FINALLY! Also this morning I weighed and I am down a little more -- here are my measurements you can go to the day 1 blog to read what I started at ....

Height - 5'5 (still haha)
Weight - 122.8Bust -- 33 1/2Waist - 27Hips - 36 1/2
Rt Thigh - 22left Thigh - 21 1/2All of them are down at least 1/2 and in.. my bust is down 1 1/2 inches -- and so are my hips! CRAZY! Besides that fact I feel GREAT! Kyle and I were talking about how much better we feel from eating good food ALL the time -- we normally dont eat bad (except for Mexican twice a week) but my body just feels so much better!
We feel so much better that we are going to pain our kitchen a new color -- our house is allllllll brown every single wall in every single room so i think we are going to spice things up a bit... also we are putting new bedding in both of our guest bedrooms -- a little help would be great! Here are the 2 I have picked so far-- I want them to kinda coordinate because they have a jack and jill bathroom... bedding for room #1 I am pretty much dead set on this for sure ...And now bedding #2-- I would do embroidery on probably 1 big pillow -- but i also like the stripped blue ... what do you think?? both of our guest beds are wooden

Tuesday, June 15, 2010

Day 8 - Back on Track

So yesterday was a good day for me and this morning I weighed in at 123.2 my lowest yet! wooo whooo !! I really never got super hungry yesterday, I think my body is beginning to adapt to the low calories..... except when I go to like the grocery store it seems as thought the sweets are seriously creeping towards me.. but I refrain! I havent measured my waist and hips again but I will do that tomorrow morning and post them to see where I am at :)

So here is a little inspiration for the day... I love this swimsuit!!

Days 5, 6 & 7

Well the weekend got the best of me.. :( I started out good and strong Saturday with a family reunion at Kyle's parents house, I took my own salad and refrained from eating chips and salsa.. instead I went for the veggie tray and had carrots and celery... UNTIL my mother in law put the cookies out -- Gosh what is it about a super soft chocolate chip cookie that will just everything else disappear in the room except for that cookie?? Well finally I was tempted too much and had just 1/2 a cookie.. well then Kyle and I went out on the lake with some friends and although I refrained from drinking any beer - not even 1 - I made up for it in having over a handful of cheese puffs... I mean really I have absolutely no self control -- We went to Fishermans Warf for dinner - another mistake! Kyle had had a few too many and was in that really really sweet phase where he tells me my body is perfect and then orders me some fried pickles - thanks hubs - needless to say I engorged 4 fried pickles but then only had a tiny bit of a grilled chicken salad with no dressing... so Saturday night when we got home I couldnt even weigh myself I was so disappointed :(

Day 6 - Sunday - So I woke up Sunday morning thinking the past is behind me and a new day is here I can do this.. so Kyle and I laid in bed for a while then got up and went to church to see Baby Anna get baptized. Well then Michelle invited everyone over to her house to have lunch - umm yeah I should have gone home with Kyle - no offense Michelle I love your home and I love you and I love your baby Anna -- what I dont love is having to know that Smokey Joe's BBQ is staring me in the face-- I am sure by this point you are thinking "no no be strong Kama dont do it" well too late .. I had pork without a bun but with bbq sauce, beans and potato salad - yes you just read that right -- although I just had a little of each I still had them all :( Oh wait the best part I had 3 mini cookies -- yep again you read that right so there was no surprise this morning when I woke up and had gained 2 pounds well almost....

I think my last report I was at my lowest all week 123.7 - well this morning Day 7 I weighed in at 125.2 thanks to my no will power self :( but good news is for dinner last night I had chicken and asparagus, and I am back on track this morning :) I promise to do good all week ... gotta get ready for Mexico

Friday, June 11, 2010

Day 4

Well last night was tough -- I just wanted to sit and eat a bag of chex-mix or a container of ice cream but instead I had steamed asparagus and chicken -- yummy :) Instead of eating I turned my attention to The Housewives of New York reunion show --- WOW they are crazy! I have watched the show since it started and actually I watch every season ( The OC being my favorite). I was so amazed at how just absolutely insane Jill is!! I used to love Jill and Bethenny and despised Alex, Ramona and Countess Louanne -- well I still want to throw random objects at the screen when the countess is on but I actually enjoy watching Alex now??? WTF! Now Ramona is only good for self gratification in other words I like to watch Ramona and tell Kyle "now that is annoying" .... :)

Anyways I upped my dose from 125 to 150 this morning to see if that helps... and I got on the scale this morning ( which I do every morning ) and yesterday I logged that I was 128 I had gained a few onces no biggie since the first 2 days I ate so much -- well this morning I got on and weighed 124.6 --WHAT?? HOLLA! Now I am the type of person who can eat and gain a pound, sleep and loose 2 pounds-- so I am not too too shocked that I lost almost 3 pounds, but on the inside I am a little pumped :)

So today entails another "great" strawberry chicken salad, and for dinner ... well actually not sure yet I may try something different.. I will let you know :) ... So here I am going to leave us (me) with inspiration for the day, I am hoping Kyle reads this and gets a few hints on the new bathing suits I would like for Mexico...

Thursday, June 10, 2010

Day 3

Day 3 is really like your day 1 -- because today is the first day of the 500 vlcd (very low calorie diet). So I made strawberry salad last night for Kyle and I to take today for lunch. The raspberry vinaigrette actually turned out pretty good! Now they didn't have Stevia in drop forms at K-Rogers so I just got the packets and put 2 packets instead of 20 drops. Today will probably be one of the toughest days as far as really restricting my hungry--- lots of water here I come!! So far I have not had any of the "normal" side effects, last night my throat got a little scratchy but that was it...Oh and the injection sites on my stomach are sensitive to the touch... I wonder why they almost feel like a bruise but not a bad one -- and I am not ramming the needle into me so I guess I will have to do some research on this to see what I am doing wrong or maybe I am just that big of a wuss...

So today I will leave you with a little bit of inspiration, ok ok it is more for me than you but isnt this freaking cute??

Wednesday, June 9, 2010

Day 2

Well nothing much has changed, as expected the first 2 days. I went to Starbucks to enjoy what will be my last Venti Cinnamon Dulce Latte for a WHILE! :( I noticed more this morning after taking the shot that I feel really full, yesterday I still felt hungry but in the middle of eating I began to feel extremely full and bloated.... Tonight I am going to kroger to get all of our supplies for this week. The program advises you to not eat the same kind of meat or veggie for lunch and dinner... but due to the fact that I really only like chicken there is a PROBLEM! Also it comes with quit a few recipes to try, but the truth is I am a very planned person and I will do better with just eating close to the same thing for lunch everyday and variations of dinner. I dont really "enjoy" food like some people do, to me it is just food. I have never been a snacker or grazer as I call it ... My problem is pasta and red meat! I mean I can eat a 20oz steak in probably 15 mins no problemo!

So I am going to prepare a strawberry spinach salad with chicken and a raspberry vinaigrette (well kinda). Here is the recipe for anyone who wants something totally healthy...

Raspberry Dressing

1 cup of raspberry tea
20 drops of stevia (sweetener)
2 tbsp red wine vinegar
Brew 1 cup of raspberry tea, using 1 tea bad - add stevia and red wine vinegar.

2 cups of raw baby spinach
5 small - med sliced strawberries
3.5 oz of chicken - you can squeeze half a lemon on it for "flavor"

serving = 1 protein, 1 fruit, 1 veggie

Side Effects

So my friend Kelly looked up common side effects of the HCG and the most common were headaches and scratchy throat, well I dont have either one of those but my stomach does hurt a little like a cramp almost.... hmmm... also you remember the first 2 days you have to eat as much "fatty" foods as possible well I thought "yes" this is going to be great lord knows I love me some fatty foods... well not so much :( I decided I would go to firehouse since I hardly ever eat there because the sandwich I like (engineer) is made up of about 2 million calories-- so perfect opportunity right?? yeah I thought so too -- my stomach on the other hand was not so appreciative of the $8 meal! My tummy hurts :( and my ears feel like they need to pop.... but besides that I have had no headache or scratchy throat (although it still is early) .. and my stomach pain is not severe enough to roll over and die! I just keep thinking new swimsuits, new swimsuits!! so here is a little boost of motivation...

Day 1

This morning marks Day 1 of a 23 day injection program. I hate shots, hate hate hate them! Like i cry when I have to get blood drawn or really anything involving a needle, so I was a little worried about how I would handle the HCG shots. Well actually I did fine - it really didnt hurt at all, now my stomach is a little sore from the injection because the bacterostatic water has alcohol in it... but besides that it all went well :) I took pictures but I dont have the mental strength to post them yet, but I will post my measurements. Now I hope you all understand that I dont think I am overweight by ANY means! That is not the purpose of this program, I eat great and workout on a regular basis and just have trouble spots that wont budge. I am doing this program to target those stored fat areas like my thighs and hips. Please be aware that I am not trying to loose 20lbs actually I really only need to drop about 5lbs. This will just help speed up my metabolism and burn stored fat ..... so here are my measurements...

Height 5'5
Weight 127.4 lbs
Bust 35 1/2
Waist 28
Hips 38
Thighs 22 1/2 inches (or a small child)

I hope to see my waist, hips and thighs decrease slowly over the next month. My Goal is around 117 - 122 lbs, my waist at a 24, hips a 34 thighs 19in on each side. These are realistic goals! I am excited, mainly because today and tomorrow is "fatty food" day -- which means you have to take in as many fatty calories as your body will allow, now not sugary (although that would be amazing) but fatty like steaks, potatoes, starchy foods and carbs! I am going to miss them once these two days are over... :(

Monday, June 7, 2010

Quick Update!

Ok so my shots came Saturday and I was in Hot Springs, then Kyle left Sunday morning to go to Fayetteville to watch the Hogs play and I didnt want to start the shots without him.... Plus I had a few questions that I to email them on.. like how much bacteriostatic water to mix with the powder (though that should have been written somewhere). So tonight I will get everything together and report back in the morning - now remember the first 2 days I have to eat like a pig - obviously not a problem for me! and I am still working on the courage to put a bikini picture up... ugh! So check back in the morning for weigh in and my experience with the first shot!

HCG

So my HCG shots should be here sometime today! OH I cant wait!! I am going to start Sunday because you have to eat lots of "fatty" foods like steak, pasta, ect. for the first 2 days, then on the 3rd day you go to 500 vlcd..... So after reading the entire 48 page guide I realized that not only can I not eat oil but I cant wear oil or use any kind of product with oil in it..... hmmmm so after extensive research I realized I needed to replace my shampoo, conditioner, face moisturizer, mascara, and deodorant. I wear bare minerals makeup so luckily I dont have to get new makeup!
Everyone knows that I am addicted to my mascara, I have worn the same kind since I was like 15. So I knew finding a new kind would be so hard, and especially OIL FREE! After some searching around here is the best option I found, Sephora brand and the best part it is like $6 ! I mean you cant beat that! Now for deodorant my friend Carrie said she used Natural Crystal - which can be purchased at Wal-greens or Wholefoods, Now you have to make sure you get the powder and not the roll on kind!
So now on to my face moisturizer, which again something I use RELIGIOUSLY! I have dry dry skin so I used face lotion probably 3 times a day-- so this was not something I could just give up for 3 weeks like deodorant (haha kidding)! I found this Neutrogena oil-free face moisturizer at Wal-Mart for only $9!
I have dry, frizzy, bleached hair - sounds great huh?? Yeah I know be jealous! :) I get highlights every 6 weeks to the T and it doesnt help that God gave me naturaly curly hair, and by "naturally curly" I mean a rat's nest! So I have to have good shampoo and tons of conditioner to get it to calm down a bit! So after doing some research I came upon Jason Natural Hair Products, they are sold at Wholefoods or online.I plan on taking the first shot Sunday morning, so prior to that shot I will weigh and measure myself! Then I will start my journey of 23 days of injections and 500vlcd! I hope that you all take this journey with me!

ONE YEAR

ok ok yes I am a little late on this Kyle and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary on Sunday, May 30! In celebration we went out on the lake Saturday and then Sunday morning we drove down to Shreveport where we shopped ate and played a LOT of black jack - Kyle of coarse winning money :) All in all it was a great trip - I am so thankful that God made Kyle for me, he is a great husband and amazing friend. Kyle and I are both very very stubborn and yet with each other we are just perfect! ! God knows what he is doing :)

So now on to more exciting news.. well kinda exciting -- My good friend in CA Carrie tried these HCG injections (i know sounds crazy) well for the past year I have been so frustrated with "not so hard" spots on my body! I have always been fit for the most part -- I have danced since I was 3 and taught dance for 5 years and have just stayed pretty active, but with age my metabolism has decided to take a break! Anyways I have order these shots and for 3 weeks you have to take them every morning and only have 500 cal a day -- i know i know most of you are thinking "gosh she is nuts" .... and you are probably right.... :)

So long story long -- HCG is a hormone EVERYONE has in very very small doses, it appears in large doses in pregnant women and is used in HUGE doses for IV. Well the amount i am taking couldnt get an ant preggos so nothing to worry about there! Anyways I thought it would be a cool way to document my progress on here with pictures, weight and measurements. So I must warn you if you are weak at the stomach you may want to stop reading this come Monday when I post pictures of myself now! (chuckle chuckle) I am also going to TRY and put on here what I am eating each day and really hope for some encouragement and support :) woooo whoooo
So here my goal -- I want this swimsuit SO SO SO bad but I refuse to buy it until I look like this girl :) haha but seriously ...

What to do for our 1 year!

Ok so I never thought it would be hard to decide how to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. I guess I didnt realize that our wedding anniversary would fall on Memorial Day Weekend!! UGH!! When we got married last year our wedding was the saturday after Memorial Day ... well this year it is Sunday! We had discussed going island camping with some friends of ours, i say "discussed" because those of you who know me know camping (like outdoors camping not in a camper) is like death to me! I love the outdoors and being outside, but on a random island where your potty is hole in the ground and the sounds of nature all of a sudden become the sounds of hell! Plus there is a big group going which means someone has to be somewhat responsible and I seem to always think that someone has to be me - so therefore I know I wont have the BEST time. And it is our 1 year I mean this happens once (obviously)! So Kyle and I have talked about doing a lot he even brought up Vegas - but again those who know me know I dont like not being prepared for trips :) So Kyle suggested we get a room at the double tree downtown because we live out in Benton, and go to riverfest and dinner.... again I am like really Kyle riverfest?? No offense I love going to Riverfest it reminds me of why I love living in Arkansas - HELLO barbwire tats (on ladies) muscle shirts, mullets, a constant flow of fist pumping, and half shirts on people who need a full shirt!! I mean everyone loves a little Riverfest but for your anniversary?? So I need help on something fun to do - keep in mind Kyle works Saturday morning in Hot Springs and will be done around 2 or 3. This post seems a little negative towards this weekend... I guess my anxiety is taking over I will do another post reminding everyone how this week a year ago changed my life forever and how I became a wife to the most amazing man :) but right now I am stressed over what to do this weekend so help!!

Summer time is fast approaching, which means my mood goes from "ugh" to "wooo whoo"! I love summer even here in Arkansas where the average is atleast 100 degrees! I love being on a boat just torturing my skin with the glow of the summer sun all day long! I love cookouts where you dont even wear makeup because you are going to sweat it off! Speaking of cookouts I am super pumped about Crawfish this saturday in Hot Springs at our friends home-- I dont eat fish (none of it) except Crawfish, i know totally crazy!! I think it has something to do with the cold drinks they serve along with the Crawfish........Ok on another note Kyle my husband and I have talked about having kids before and it was always a joke to say we would have them when we could draw retirement money ... well although we are in a place in our life where we are secure enough to have a child neither of us have ever been ready! I always thought I would be ready first, but here recently Kyle seems to have baby fever??!!?? WTH?? So here is where I need some honest answers, is it Kyle with baby fever or me taking what Kyle is saying as baby fever because I might actually be the one with baby fever?? Example: Baby Anna my sweet baby "niece" well not by blood but its all the same - Ok I love baby Anna when I am not with her i think about her, I call Michelle all the time just to see what she is doing- doesnt me I want one RIGHT? Well Kyle wont stop talking about how sweet Baby Anna is and how cute Baby Anna is, I thought he was just making me feel better because I talk about her ALL the time! Well last night we were watching the Hangover (great i know) and the whole time the baby is in the back of the car Kyle is like.. "oh look at that baby". "oh he is crying, poor thing" ... "oh goodness he is cute" --- HELLO?? what happened to my "we dont need a kid we have Debbie (debbie is our dog)".... I am not saying all of this like a bad thing I just kinda thought we would be like 50 (not that 50 is old) when we had kids! Now I am like wait is Kyle ready or am I ready where is all this baby fever coming from?? HELP.....

Wow I am bad at blogging.....

So I love reading blogs and get so pumped about writing, then I realize my life is no where as "crazy" and fun as other peoples..... So I guess since the last time I blogged Kyle and I have settled comfortably in our new home, we have gone to Dallas to watch the Rangers play, been to a good friends wedding, enjoyed lazy Sundays for about 3 months now... OH WAIT exciting news ahead--- My best friend in LIFE Michelle had her baby Tuesday May 4! Anna Elizabeth Hughey 4lbs 12 oz.... she is beyond PRECIOUS! I cant wait to spoil her totally rotten! She is still in the hospital due to weight issues and red blood cell count, but Momma and Baby should be home tomorrow! I am so excited to go and see her ( I mean i was at the hospital ) but i want to be able to hold her without anyone else wanting to take her -selfish i know i am very aware that I tend to be selfish, it is an issue i am dealing with and by dealing with I mean informing people of it! :) So please say lots of prayers for the Hughey family as they are now a family of 3 and need prayers of good health and sleep :) So I hope maybe I dont wait 4 months to post again...

Things Lately --

I know I am so bad at remembering to blog about of life but so much has happened in the past 6 months -- where to start?? Kyle and I sold our old home and bought a new one in Longhills Village in Benton. We love it so much! Our house is so wonderful and more than we could have ever dreamed! I am still working on putting the final touches to it-- but mine and Kyle's taste are very different! I love traditional and elegant and he likes rustic and modern-- I would have never guessed he cared.. haha.. Also my best friend in life, Michelle, is having a baby girl - and I could not be happier for them!! I cant wait til she gets here :) I made a special gift for her but i cant post the pics until I give it to Michelle bc it is a surprise :) I am really going to try and get on here more-- also if you have any good suggestions on where to get great home decor please let me know!
